2.0 Products – Product Development at Its Best
Have you already noticed the many 2.0 products in our collection? The first to hit the market were the 2.0 Nurmos harness and the 2.0 Next Level harness, featuring innovative double rings. These were soon joined by the 2.0 Race harness and several complementary products, such as the 2.0 Light racing lines and the 2.0 Smooth tail strap. But what’s the story behind these products?
At Wahlstén, our team includes many professionals from the equestrian industry, giving us extensive hands-on experience with different types of equipment. When this knowledge is put into practice, the result is gear designed with every detail in mind. As the name suggests, the 2.0 products are new and improved versions of existing items. They are part of the Wahlstén Premium line – meaning they are made in our own production facilities. This ensures not only top quality but also flexibility when it comes to making improvements.
Wahlstén Premium products are designed for professional use, so even hobby riders can rely on their durability in demanding conditions. For this reason, BioThane has been chosen as a key material for many 2.0 products. BioThane is as durable as leather but far easier to maintain – making it ideal for the busy daily life of professional stables. The horse’s comfort and wellbeing have been carefully considered; for example, many products have been designed without seams against the horse’s body. The previously mentioned double line rings represent a new innovation – they make it easier to use pulling equipment, as the ropes each have their own ring to pass through. This greatly reduces the risk of tangling.
Countless hours of work have gone into developing the 2.0 products. In addition to our in-house professionals, we also collaborated with active trainers during the design and testing phases, resulting in products that are better than ever.
