Our breast collars is perfect for training

Many training programs for trotting horses include strength training, which often means pulling heavier loads. Traditional collars are, of course, the best option, but fitting a collar to a horse is not always easy. A traditional breastcollar, on the other hand, often directs the pull onto the chest, which may restrict the movement of the horse’s forelegs.

For this reason, we decided to combine the best features of both the breastcollar and the collar – and that is how the Wahlsten Premium Anatomic II Collar Breastcollar was created. With the collar breastcollar, the pull is distributed in exactly the right way, yet because it is still a breastcollar, it is easy to adjust to fit every horse comfortably. The collar breastcollar can be adjusted from the neck piece on both sides, and the height of the draft point is automatically optimized by a moving ring.

The collar breastcollar is handmade in Lahti, Finland. The collar section and padding are made from high-quality, durable Tärnsjö leather, which withstands heavy use. The straps are made from BioThane, a strong material well suited to a wide range of weather conditions. All buckles and fittings are made of stainless steel.

The collar breastcollar is available in two sizes. FULL is primarily suitable for Finnhorses, and COB for Standardbreds. If your horse’s training includes, for example, braking cart training or wading through snow or water, the collar breastcollar is the first-choice option.
